Molykote 321 Anti-Friction Coating

Molykote 321 is a dry film lubricant that can be used when air drying is necessary. It is easy to apply and dries in seconds. If your application calls for wearing-in and extending the life of your pumps and pump parts, 321 is the product to choose.
Applications:
- Coating of threaded connections where a heat cure product is not practical and where the use of oil or grease is undesirable.
- Cutting tools ñ broaches, gear cutters, milling cutter, taps, drills, reamers, chasers, punches, etc.
- Splines, disconnects
- Instruments operating in unusual environments, such as in a vacuum, near radiation or in extreme high or low temperatures
- Metal forming
- Aluminum to aluminum and aluminum to steel surfaces.
- Suited for dusty environments
Special Characteristics (Features):
- Will not attract contaminants
- Easy to apply, dries to touch in seconds, cures at room temperature completely in 4 hours
- Extreme loads at low speeds
- Lubricates over a wide temperature range -290 to 840 F (-178 to 450 C)
- Exceptionally low coefficient of friction
- Reduces wear normally associated with running-in new or rebuilt equipment
- Lubricates effectively even after long periods of non-use and will not wash out
- Adheres to most clean metal surfaces
- Resists chemicals and fuels
