Damage to threaded connections is a major concern in the oil and gas industry. Dow Corning's P-37 Paste addresses this problem with its unique formulation and temperature range. It is metal and nickel free as well as low in sulphur.
Applications:
- For stainless steel and nickel based alloy threads, can with stand extremely high torque in stainless steel threaded connections to prevent cold welding or galling of the sealing surfaces.
- Prevents seize of screws at high temperatures.
- Approved for use by many manufacturers of set screws used in power plant turbines, and manufacturers of steam valve joints.

Special Characteristics (Features):
- Excellent load-carrying capacity and seize protection
- Helps prevent seizure and damage of threaded connections during assembly and disassembly after extreme high-temperature exposure
- Does not contain any compounds that embrittle alloys.
- Low sulphur, chlorine and fluorine. Nickel free.
- High temperature capability, -20 F to 2550 F (-40 C to 1400 C)
- Low scatter of pre-stressing forces on tightening
- Allows for not destructive dismantling
- Low seepage, can be used in places wherein cleanliness is required
