Oil and gas refining often takes place in humid coastal environments which leads to corrosion problems. Molykote P-40 Paste is designed to prevent corrosion and perform well in some of the toughest applications.
Applications:
- Assembly and threaded connections, spline shafts, mounting of bearings, open gears, marine applications.
Special Characteristics (Features):
- Excellent adhesion and water resistance. Effective when exposed to corrosive environments such as splash water or humidity.
- Metal free - good corrosion protection
- Low water pollution class
- Assembly and continuous lubrication
- Good antifretting
- Temperature range -20 to 2000 F (-29 to 1093 C)
