Quick Overview
Polyphenylmethyldimethylsiloxane polymer fluid. Useful as heat transfer fluid, in thermostat systems and as base oil for high temperature lubricants.
High-temperature lubrication; base oil for greases. Applications include: Base oil for high temperature ball bearing greases or lubricating oil for high temperature instruments. Heat-treating baths for specialty metals; heat exchange fluid for research apparatus and instrument calibration baths; heat transfer oil in capacitors, transformers and various elements - As a thermostat fluid - suitable for temperatures from -40°C to 315°C in thermostat systems, which should be kept clean.
- Primary Use – High-temperature lubrication; base oil for greases.
- Special Characteristics – Good shear stability; resists radiation and oxidation; wide service temperature range; desirable heat transfer characteristics.
- Physical Form – 125 CS phenyl methyl silicone fluid.
- Applications – Base oil for greases; heat transfer medium in baths; thermostat fluid; lubricating clocks, oven timers, parking meters, high-temperature instruments.
- Temperature Range – From -40 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to 232 degrees Celsius).
