BRINGING YOU OUT OF THIS WORLD SERVICE & SOLUTIONS

Many companies promise the moon. Esco has already been there.

As an early custom-parts supplier to NASA, Esco designed and created the flagpole that was planted on the moon. Esco also manufactured the umbrella that would support an Apollo mission to rescue the first space station.

It took vision, ingenuity, and responsiveness to make products that would withstand the elements of outer space. Today, we are focused on delivering solutions that withstand harsh conditions closer to home.

Esco Products' mission is to continually improve the quality, reliability, and on-time delivery of our products to our customers.

There’s a saying that “to get to where you want to go, you must first know where you’ve been.”

Our great grandfather founded Esco after working as manufacturer’s rep in the flow-control systems industry. He saw the need for a machine shop that could remain nimble and pivot with the ever-changing needs of its customers. Esco added a sheet metal shop and soon caught the eye of engineers at NASA.

In the mid-1970s Esco diversified its offerings and began distributing lubricants and sealants from Dow Corning. Our great grandfather’s innovative spirit led to the creation of our Oil Sight Glass, a product we continue to sell, along with a suite of Visual Oil Inspection products that evolved through the years – all engineered to keep our customers performing at the highest levels, no matter the environment.

In 1997 our current president, David Haught (aka uncle/father/leader/visionary), took the reigns of Esco and ushered in a new era. He applied a laser-like focus to adhering to Esco’s history of innovation. Larger companies began offering similar products and services. Yet Esco remained committed to smart growth and staying close to customers with relevant solutions.

David recruited and mentored the next generation of Esco leadership in the mid-2000s. Now in its fourth generation of family ownership and operations, Esco continues our partnership with Dow and Dupont brands promoting DOWSil and Molykote solutions.

And with a nod toward our great-grandfather’s ingenuity, we created and refined our 3-D BullsEye, Oil Level Indicator, HEX-Duty Oil Sight Glass, LeveLock Constant Level Oiler, and Oil Sight Glass & Level Monitors.

Those products caught the eye of another industry leader in 2014 when the Des-Case Corporation purchased the manufacturing rights to them. We are proud of our partnership with Des-Case and distribute several of their other product lines such as desiccant breathers, filters and other contamination-control products.

And Esco continues to manufacture and refine the HEX-Duty Oil Sight Glass and the LeveLock Constant Level Oiler.

So, where does a company go that has already been to outer space? What can you expect from Esco in the future?

For the most part, more of the same.

We no longer have aspirations of going to the moon, but we still believe in delivering service and solutions that are out of this world. We still believe, as our great grandfather did, in seeing the world through the eyes of our customer and remaining responsive and accessible.

Just like it was in our early days, when a customer reaches out to us for a solution, they are likely speaking with an owner of the company.

And as a 50 percent women-owned business, we remain committed to the ideals Esco was founded upon: responsiveness to customer needs, innovation, solutions, and service.

On behalf of our staff of 14 people and six dogs, we hope to earn and keep your business,

Carly Craig, Chris Haught, David Haught, and Lindsey McGee
